We recently had Chris and his crew refinish our ironwood deck. They were very professional - letting me know when to expect them each morning of the job and knocking on the door to let me know when they arrived (as I work from home). They really took their time with the job in power washing the deck, then sanding it down, and finally staining it. They clearly take pride in their work and don't just rush through it to get on to the next job. Our deck looks absolutely beautiful!
One word of advice - book in advance! Chris and his team do such a great job, they are in high demand.
So impressed with D'arata painting! Met with Chris...received our bid, and he got to work on our deck...it needed major help! It was a 3 step process...and he painted our post too! His workmanship and professionalism are top notch! I can't say enough good things about Chris and his company....he's great.
Chris did a beautiful job of painting our laundry room and bath. Because it was a rather small job, some other painters I talked to either overbid the project or basically told us we should look elsewhere, but Chris was quick to send me a bid, and set up an appointment. His price was fair, and he even went above and beyond the call of duty by caulking our baseboards and cleaning light fixtures before putting them back in place. I would highly recommend D'Arata Painting.
We had D'arata Painting work on our house. The entire experience was excellent. We bought an older house/cabin outside Nevada City. It was a challenging job as it's an older place that hadn't been treated in years and there were various areas with wood repairs (dry rot) that didn't match. They provided superb guidance and options on how to tackle it. They did an incredible job and finished on time (and budget). Everything from initial quote to post work follow up has been great. We've actually asked them back for another job.
After talking to several painters, we hired Chris D'Arata to paint the exterior of our house. I'd seen his name on jobs around town. We did so in August and at that time he said that he could begin work in November. It sounded OK to us, a guy that was fairly busy must be doing something right. But we were a little bit leery of having someone paint our house in the winter.. but he did assure us that he could do it.
When getting the bid from him, I was impressed with his spiel. But if you've ever worked with contractors, you know that spiel often doesn't follow through on the job. Well, Chris's did. We found that he and his crew were very meticulous, did not cut any corners, and prepped the house for painting more than I could have imagined. Now that the job is finished, I can say that Chris is one of the most conscientious contractors I have ever hired to work on a project. And his crew is the same way. They worked very hard every day that they were here. They did not paint when it was too cold or too wet. The worked that they did exceeded our expectations. I would have no problem hiring him again or recommending him to anyone else.
